Trevor Dannatt is one of the most prominent and recognised figures in Modernism in the United Kingdom. He was educated at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Architecture and eventually worked for the well known Maxwell Fry and Jane Drew practice. In the beginning, his career comprises of working on the Royal Festival Hall in London. He proceeded to start up his own practice in 1952 and also founded Dannatt Johnson Architects with David Johnson in 1994. Trevor Dannatt's authority and dominance was reflected not only through his widely acclaimed buildings but also through his far reaching writing, teaching and editing. He was also frequently involved in the Arts scene as he designed exhibitions such as the '20th century form' at the Whitechapel Gallery.
