Founded by Tony Fretton, Tony Fretton Architects has built up a global reputation for architecture that is authentic and smart with a creative design that delights its users in the short run and the long run. The buildings also seek to incorporate cultural interest for its surroundings. The award winning practice work on projects of different scales including humble buildings for artists and community groups to large scale schemes for both public and housing projects. Some of their recognised projects include the New British Embassy in Warsaw, the Administrative Centre for Deinze in Belgium and the Fuglsang Kunstmuseum in Denmark, which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize. Tony Fretton is involved in writing and he is also a lecturer. He eventually took on the role of a professor at the Technical University in Delft, Netherlands in 1999.
