The founder and director, Patrick Lynch, started his practice, Lynch Architects, in 1997. The relatively young practice has grown to make a name for itself in the architectural field as they have received numerous awards including the Young Architect of the Year Award (YAYA) in 2005 and they were hand picked to be displayed for the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2012 and the Irish Pavillion in 2008. The award winning practice are capable and qualified to take projects of all scales and typologies including private residential homes, public spaces, art galleries, commercial buildings, major civic buildings and masterplanning. It is their motto to fabricate modern architecture that is considerate and well integrated with its surroundings. They highly value the craft of architecture and are often being hands on with their approach - from physical models at different scales and images that are a reflection of the metaphoric and tectonic qualities of the architectural projects. This helps the clients and the team to better appreciate the spatial, material, constructional qualities rather than facing a computer screen.
