Liddicoat & Goldhill

Liddicoat & Goldhill is a joint venture started by husband and wife, David Liddicoat and Sophie Goldhill in 2011. The team specialises in architecture and interior design services where they design customised residential homes for private clients. With studio based in London and Margate, the design practice takes an craftsman approach when bringing together the pieces of their work. This is done by probing the experiential quality of inhabitation and architecture where the outcome will then be reflected in their projects. This characteristic is featured across the different projects - each unique to the different clients and sites. David Liddicoat and Sophie Goldhill has led their team to excellence, where the practice has won numerous awards, including the RIBA award and nominated for the Manser Medal for the Shadow House. The practice has also been shortlisted for the Stephen Lawrence Award and was the runner up for the RIBA award for the kinetic 'Ancient Party Barn' whilst the 'Tailored House' in Kensington received a RIBA shortlisting. Liddicoat & Goldhill have been prominently featured in the press both local and internationally including Wallpaper* Magazine's Future 30, Architecture Foundation's 'New Architects 3: A decade of New British Talent', the Telegraph and the Times and some of their works were also exhibited in the architecture room of the Royal Academy of Arts. The practice is most commonly known as one of Britain's leading residential design practices.
