KHBT is an architectural practice started by Karsten Huneck and Bernd Trümpler in both London and Berlin. The practice is consistent in producing unique spaces at the local and international level, which has earned the practice coverage in the press. They have also been awarded many different awards including the prestigious Young Architect of the Year Award (YAYA) in the year 2009 where they received 'special commendation' which was a first in the history of the competitions. They are constantly challenging the common practices in the field of architecture. Projects are designed and influence by their accurate and in depth analysis of the current context which helps to unveil the potential of the site. This then helps to inform a strong concept which is followed through closely by the team until the client's brief and the practice's vision has been realised. Karsten Huneck and Bernd Trümpler are also trained joiners and have experience in constructing different elements including the facade of Hause Berge.
