Foggo & Thomas

Foggo & Thomas was established by Peter Foggo and David Thomas in 1959. They were friends who studied architecture together in Liverpool and discovered that they have a common passion for the works of Mies van der Rohe, an inspiring German American architect that was one of the pioneers of Modern Architecture. Foggo & Thomas created and developed a number of private houses and some of the architecture has been recognised as competitors of the widely recognised Case study houses built in California. Their first project as partners was delegated by Kenneth Capon of Architects' Co-Partnership in 1959. Other projects by Peter Foggo David Thomas Architects include East Grinstead in West Sussex and Holyport in Berkshire and Nr.Bray, Berks. Eventually both Peter Foggo and David Thomas took on the role of directors at Arup Associates. Peter Foggo was received recognition for the 1985 Postmodern Broadgate development in London.
